Monday 28th November – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch with ‘Emily’ – Sunny periods.

What a top day :) started a bit foggy so headed down to the seafront at 7.30 to take some pics, the sea was like a mill pool with an interesting sky too, sent loads of pics into the weather but the world cup has messed things a little making it even harder to get on TV, will be pleased when it is all over, can’t stand football! Home for breakfast do my exercises, pack a picnic and head out on our bikes around midday in perfect cycling conditions, sunny with very light winds! Headed past The Grove to Marsh Lane, loads of big puddles due to a lot of rain recently and a little muddy in places but not too bad! At Kings Fleet we head inland bumping into the garage owner who did our van service for many years, now retired was out walking his frisky young dog so stopped for a chat:) Got our seat at Falkenham Church to enjoy lunch in complete peace and quiet with loads of birds now clearly visible as the leaves have all gone now! Well rested we take the usual route back via Kirton and Trimley to the tree lined path which was quite slippery, Mag was not impressed but we made it to Felixstowe OK. Mag then turned towards Morrisons while I carried on through the docks to the view point where I got some nice pics of the River Orwell with some top skies:) Back through Landguard Nature Reserve but could not get onto the prom as the flood gates are all closed and home for a cuppa and bun:)

PS – Mag and I have some good news, our son Dan with partner Jay were expecting our second Grandchild due late January next year but the little one had other ideas and arrived two months early last Saturday. After a worrying weekend Mother and child are doing great, Maeva Margaret Squirrell was an amazing 4lbs 5oz. is lovely. We can’t wait to meet her tomorrow for the first time xxxx
